2019 Will be my 16th year participating in a MS Bike event. My wife Kathy (far left) and I ride/volunteer for Team B.R.U.C.E.(Bikers Riding Until a Cure Exist). My wife Kathy was diagnosed in her early 20's with Relapsing-Remitting MS. We are so thankful for family and friends, like the Benson's, who travel long distances to volunteer and fight the fight against MS. Your donation can change the world for people affected by MS by fueling cutting-edge research and critical services.
2019 we be my 7th year serving as hike guide for the Xtreme Hike Event covering 28ish miles all in one day. I am honored to participate and hike for Erin Harrington, she gives me hope and inspiration each day.
Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disorder that causes life-threatening lung infections and severe digestive complications, among other serious associated medical conditions. Each day, Erin goes through a daily regimen of treatments which includes hours of chest therapy, inhaled medicines, and taking over 30 pills a day to sustain her overall health and wellness. Since her diagnosis, she has faced the typical trials and tribulations associated with this progressive disease. However, through it all, Erin has never used her CF as an excuse to hold her back and she refuses to let it define her as a person. With the significant advancements in treatments and medications over the past several years, Erin has benefitted greatly from the continued research only made possible through the generous contributions made to the CF Foundation to date.
This picture was taken during a visit to Soles4Souls in 2012 . I was blown away standing in awe reading the letters of thanks and impact Soles4Souls has made right here in the USA and throughout the world. The outreach and Micro-Enterprse work being done is nothing short of amazing. With your support, contributions and donations Soles4Souls will continue the good work of Wearing out poverty.
